Day 3 in Faribault

Laying out all of the glass for the back row on the table, Zevi had a the brainstorm that we could just dimension where all the holes go right then as well, and put all the fasteners into the ceiling at once. Technique worked pretty well.

This will be a really great place from which to view the completed installation.

Hanging the birds completes this wall.

So, by about 6:30, the long wall (3 bays of glass) is pretty much done. Below is a photo of the completed wall with the lights off & with the lights on.

Now starting in on the west wall.

Okay, we are breaking for dinner at 9:30, with 1/3 the water pieces up (and the fish) in the final bay.

Approaching midnight, all the dichroic pieces are up! Now Zev and Katie will hang the final colored water pieces and the birds which are integrated with them.

Now 1:00am and we are nearly done with the 4th (and final) bay.

Okay, 1:15 and we are done for the night.
